OpenMoney App
Advice and analysis to help users manage their money and reach their financial goals
Helping form healthier money habits.
The OpenMoney app was designed to support users who were not yet in a position to invest or purchase their first home due to poor financial health. The goal was to guide these users toward stronger financial stability through personalised advice and spending analysis - ultimately enabling them to access OpenMoney’s core offerings.
As Lead Product Designer, I worked closely with the founder, product owner, and engineering team to design and deliver the app from the ground up. This included modernising an outdated codebase and design system, while creating a more cohesive experience that better connected users to OpenMoney’s wider ecosystem.
Discovery and refinement
During the early stages of the project, I was responsible for capturing requirements in discovery sessions and generating user flows and low-fi wireframes to be refined with the product and development teams. Once the wireframes were refined and the criteria were met, I created an app design system to fabricate high fidelity prototypes to be tested.
Prototyping and user testing
Once customer journeys were prototyped I would help create the tests on Usertesting.com with our UX researcher, and improve designs based off user feedback.
